cinematograpy virgin

my friend garry and i tried our first attempt at making a short film. we biked all over downtown kingston friday morning filming, then i spent saturday night editing it for sunday morning. it was a lot of work, but i think it turned out really well.

i bought adobe premier elements 3.0 to edit it on as the video editing programs i had couldn't do what i needed for this video. elements seems like a great program, but i spent a lot of time figuring out how to use it and still feel frustrated with some parts that i don't know how to work properly yet. i think once i figure it out it will make editing much easier. also i think i need more memory on my computer as the program was running very slow.

enjoy!

ATTN: SPOILER FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT VIEWED!! READ NO FURTHER.

Ok, this was really, really, really neat. It shows the chaos and the busyness, and the hustle, and the monotony, and the redundancy, and the lonliness, and the crowded isolation, and the the absurdity in the irregularity of our existence, and what a trial it can be just to remain sane. (I liked the slow sign especially). Then, there is the smooth, slow, voice, with this unique, enriching and enlivening music, that puts a steady beat to it all! (like a heartbeat). And it's like, "Yeah, Okay, we all of us in the human race, are connected, even though we don't seem to be, and the God who made us and who is in us is the one that binds us and gives us meaning." To me, it was saying "We are not the living dead and there is a truly powerful Force that is among us."

yes, I got it too...what Jo said. I really liked it...alot! You should do more of these. Thanks for the phone call! Yes, 25. Hard to believe. Mom and Dad gave me a rocking chair dad had in his office and morgan gave me a surprise party-invited lots of people over. The cake of choice was 'whoopie pies'. yum.

p.s.s. the crazy people at the end doing some kind of slow mo kungfu??? That part made me laugh.

I'm impressed, friend. The A&P may or may not have been the perfect set up for the senior tai-chi moment. One moment I'm thinking, "Hmm...Kingston is busier than I remember;" the next moment, "Ah...seniors tai-kwon-do." Good music choice, too. Congrats on completing your virgin voyage. ;)
